Hello, and good afternoon! Hope you’re doing well. God laid on my heart to write a new song called, “Father, I Fall On My Knees.” This song is about the need for us to surrender to God and let Him carry our burdens. Sometimes, we need to actually “fall on our knees” to do just that. 1 Peter 5:7(NLT) - “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about what happens to you.”
If you think about it, all of us at one time or another have or tend to carry the heavy weight of our worries on our shoulders instead of taking them directly to Jesus. God has never wanted us to shoulder our burdens. We are of the flesh, so God understands why we do it, and He will forgive us for trying to take Him out of the equation, but we each have a choice to surrender to Him or not.
My prayer and hope is that you let go of those burdens that seem to weigh you down that only bring you fear and doubt. That’s exactly what Satan, the enemy, wants you to do. God will fight these battles for you if you let Him.
So wherever you are in regards to your faith, my first hope is that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Secondly, whatever is weighing you down, fall on your knees in total surrender to God. Turn all those burdens over to Him. You will experience the most wonderful and heartfelt peace and make any fears that you had just seem to disappear or at least they won’t be as noticable.
